Philips Screeneo U4
Still from the campaign film: the Screeneo U4 on a desk against the wall, an 80-inch sunset filling the wall above it, with the film's own measurements marking the 80-inch diagonal and the 30.5 cm (12 in) gap to the wall.

An 80-inch picture, 12 inches away

At launch in 2022, the now-common ultra short throw tech sounded too good to be true.

A sequel with something to prove

Philips PicoPix Max (2019) was an Indiegogo hit, but backers remembered its bumpy rollout. The Screeneo U4 page answered in their own words.

Below: the campaign page itself, annotated.

A huge screen without the hassle of a huge TV A racing game projected large on a wall from the U4 on a low console just beneath it, beside two icons: No mounting, No shadows.

Cinematic immersion with vibrant colors and deep contrast wherever you are. Ultra Short Throw projection means room size doesn't matter.

Eleven feature icons in a grid: Super compact; Ultra Short Throw ratio (0.25:1); 1080p Full HD resolution; HDR10; Automatic image customization; Automatic focus; 2.1 sound with signal processing; Dual bluetooth 5.0; Bluetooth BoomBox function; HDMI 2.1 & USB-A inputs; 35" to 120" projection size.
Even the smallest room can have the biggest screen: the 120-inch Screeneo U4 picture over a mountain scene, with a 55-inch TV, a 27-inch display, a 15-inch laptop, an 11-inch tablet and a 6-inch phone lined up in front of it to scale.
Have a cinematic experience

Bring the theater home.

A man cooking at a kitchen counter turns toward a spear-carrying warrior projected on the wall beside him, the U4 on the counter below the picture.
Extend your workflow

Connect your laptop and use it as a second screen.

A woman gestures at a nine-person video call projected on a dark wall, the U4 on the sideboard beneath it.
Play like the pros

Hook up your favorite consoles to play in True Full HD.

Two players, seen from behind, face a racing game projected large on the wall from the U4 on a low console.

Watch in True Full HD 1080p with 60fps high-definition sharpness, full of the fine detail that can be lost at lower resolutions.

Featuring True Full HD, HDR10 and a cinema tuning with REC.709, colors remain lifelike with outstanding full high definition and clarity.

Connect all your devices for streaming, audio or work

We made it incredibly easy to plug & play with your favorite devices right out of the box.

Connection diagram: from the projector's back panel, four ports — USB-A (5V 1.5A), Jack 3.5, Dual Bluetooth 5.0 connection and HDMI — each leading down to the devices it takes: a flash drive, hard drive, Amazon fire TV and Roku stick (power only) under USB-A; speakers and earphones under the jack; a laptop, smartphone, tablet, speakers and earphones under Bluetooth; a laptop, console, Apple TV, Amazon fire TV and Roku stick under HDMI.

Use the 2x HDMI 2.1 and a USB-A to connect all your devices. Your gaming consoles, Apple TV, Roku Sticks, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, or Satellite receivers connect to the HDMI ports just like a TV without an extra adapter.

Here for the music? Introducing Boom Box

When not projecting your favorite movie, TV show, or game, Screeneo U4 can be used as a Bluetooth speaker. Pair your smartphone, laptop, or tablet to enjoy crisp tunes even when the projector is off.

Share experiences

Pair multiple audio devices. Set up a pair of speakers, or watch a movie privately with a friend on two sets of earphones, each with independent volume control.

Compact and brilliant design

Screeneo U4 is full dark matte for simplicity and modernity. Its compact design is meant to luxuriously and seamlessly blend into your home.

A lifetime of entertainment

Our LED bulbs are rated to last 30,000 hours. That's over 40 years of usage if you watched one movie per day.

Opening Positioning

Instead of the tech, I lead with what it makes possible.

Counters the rebuttal that a projector is also a hassle.

Kills the #1 objection for projectors: room size.

The Lead Use Case

Theater leads because it’s the fantasy that sells a projector.

A Second Kind of Buyer

Same product, framed as work equipment — something a buyer can expense.

Familiarity

Leads on plug and play, so “will it work with my setup?” is answered above the port list.

A Second Job

A projector is idle most of the week. Filling those dead hours stretches one purchase past movie night.

Tech-Speak Translation

Makes an opaque spec actually mean something to humans. 40 years of use at 1 movie/day is far more tangible than the 30,000 hour rating.
